THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Indian Meteorological Department predicted the possibility of rain in Kerala for the next five days. A yellow alert has also been issued in various districts. A yellow alert was issued in the Ernakulam, Palakkad and Wayanad districts tomorrow.
A yellow alert has been issued for Pathanamthitta, Idukki, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram and Wayanad districts on April 3 and for Palakkad, Malappuram and Wayanad districts on April 4. Pathanamthitta, Idukki, Ernakulam, Palakkad and Wayanad districts are warned of heavy rain on April 5.
Isolated heavy rain is expected. Heavy rain is defined as rainfall of 64.5 mm to 115.5 mm in 24 hours.
Rain with thunderstorms and strong winds with speeds of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour are expected today and tomorrow. IMD announced a possibility of rain with thunderstorms and strong winds with a speed of 40 to 50 kilometers per hour from April 3rd to the 5th.
