NILAMBUR: A porcupine was found half-eaten by a wild animal in a rubber plantation inside the KPM Estate at Poolaparambu in Pariyangad. The body of the porcupine was found by women who had come to work at the estate around 9 am the other day. They then informed the tapping workers and the plantation manager about it.

The porcupine's internal parts were found lying in various places. The locals are of the belief that it may have been attacked by a tiger. The locals are worried as there have been reports of the presence and attacks of wild animals in the nearby areas earlier. The rubber plantation is owned by one Mayinkutty.
