School student suffering from fever, vomiting dies during treatment at Kozhikode; probe ongoing

KOZHIKODE: A student who was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Kozhikode due to fever and vomiting died on Tuesday. Dana Ishan (16), daughter of Faisal, a native of Vadakara, died in the incident. She was a Plus One student. Meanwhile, it is suspected that she died due to ingestion of poison.

Dana developed fever and vomiting on Sunday. She was then admitted to a private hospital in Vadakara and then to another private hospital in Kozhikode. Vadakara police registered a case of unnatural death. The police said that the cause of death will be clear only after receiving the postmortem report.
