Shine baffled by evidence; contact with drug dealer Sajeer, confession at the end

KOCHI: The police have decided to file a case under the NDPS Act against actor Shine Tom Chacko based on concrete evidence. The police had come to the hotel to search for drug dealer Sajeer. It is reported that Shine had given a statement to the police that he knew him. Shine gave a statement regarding his drug use after a three-hour-long interrogation.

A case will be registered under sections 27 and 29 of the NDPS Act. A case will be registered for conspiracy along with drug use. Shine will soon be taken to the Ernakulam General Hospital for a medical examination. Today, the police questioned Shine in three groups of officers. It is reported that Shine quavered during the interrogation of the three groups.

During the interrogation, Shine answered no when asked if he knew Sajeer, but when the cyber documents were presented, he had to admit that he knew Sajeer. The cyber department presented details of some phone calls Shine had made with Sajeer. Later, when Shine could not stand his ground during the interrogation, he was forced to say that he used to use chemical drugs and that he had dealings with drug gangs. With this, the police took steps to arrest him. Currently, Shine has been charged with sections that allow for station bail.
