NILAMBUR: The results of the Nilambur by-election show that P V Anvar has influence among the people since the first round. Despite leading in the first three rounds, the UDF has not been able to achieve the expected surge.

Even if Aryadan Shoukath increases his lead to 2700, Anvar cannot be ruled out in Nilambur. Anwar got the votes of the UDF in their strongholds like Vazhikkadavu and Moothedam. M Swaraj came ahead in one booth in Moothedam. Now, after counting the votes in UDF strongholds, if Anvar continues that lead, the result will be a close fight between the Left and UDF fronts.

The lead level has decreased where they were expecting a lead of more than 5000 in UDF centers. The votes in Vazhikkadavu Panchayat have been counted. The votes in Moothedam Panchayat are now being counted.
