Stray dog attacks girl; bites construction worker brutally when tried to chase away

MALAPPURAM: A construction worker was attacked by stray dog. Suresh, a construction worker near Chamaravattom Anozhukku Bridge in Malappuram, was seriously injured in a stray dog attack. Suresh was bitten while trying to chase away the stray dog that had rushed towards the girl by throwing stones. CCTV footage of the incident that happened last Wednesday has emerged.


A stray dog was rushing towards the 14-year-old girl who was returning from the madrasa. Suresh, who was waiting for a bus nearby, witnessed the attack and he ran towards her to help. He attempted to chase the dog away with stones but it tried to jump on his body and bit his hand. The dog attacked Suresh causing him to fall into a drain, where it continued to attack him. With this, the dog became ferocious and attacked him brutally. Suresh sustained nearly 15 bite injuries all over his body. Suresh was rescued with great difficulty. He sought treatment at a nearby hospital.
