'Those who supported BJP in Thrissur should think at least now; getting more votes is not left's stand': Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan

KOZHIKODE: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that those who supported the BJP in Thrissur should at least think about whether they did the right thing. His criticism was during a program held in Kozhikode. He added that BJP's winning of seats in Kerala should be seriously examined.

"There is no enmity towards those who supported BJP. However, they should take a correct stance. This position is not compatible with the state's culture. The Muslim League is losing its face now. It is becoming the face of Jamaat-e-Islami and SDPI. Congress is not those who do not know what SDPI and Jamaat-e-Islami are. League became allies of the unalloyed for votes. The Muslim League contested the elections with vigour.

The UDF cannot gloat over its victory. The right-wing is clashing in different groups outside Kerala but they are all united in Kerala. There is no special feeling in Kerala. The right wing is trying to lose the popular influence of the left-wing in Kerala. The left is not taking the position that 'let us get more votes'. The goal of the left is the welfare of the state, said the Chief Minister.

He criticized that the Centre has squeezed Kerala financially and created a problem that no other state faced. He also stated that the stand taken by the LDF in the elections was that the states should strengthen their unity to stop the BJP, which is trying to undermine the country's democratic system.
