Two killed, three injured in jeep-lorry collision in MC Road

KOTTAYAM: Two people were killed and three sustained injuries after a jeep and a lorry collided at Nattakom in Kottayam around 2 am Tuesday morning. The accident happened near Nattakom Polytechnic College on Kottayam MC Road. The jeep rammed into a lorry carrying load from Bengaluru.

The passengers of the jeep were those killed and the injured were those sitting behind the vehicle. Those in the jeep were doing interior works. It is reported that they are natives of Thodupuzha.

The front of the jeep has been completely damaged in the accident. The fire force arrived and removed the vehicle. Following the accident, there was a major traffic jam in the area. The injured has been shifted to Kottayam Medical College Hospital.
