Two people die of suffocation while cleaning waste tank of hotel in Kozhikode

KOZHIKODE: In a tragic incident, two people died of suffocation while cleaning the waste tank of a hotel in Kozhikode. The incident took place in Iringadanpally in Kozhikode. The workers who were cleaning the tank died at around 4 pm today. The closed hotel has a waste tank ten feet deep.

The first person who entered the tank fell unconscious after some time. Following this, the second person entered the tank.
Upon receiving information, the Fire Force immediately reached the spot and took the two persons out of the tank. The two were then rushed to the Kozhikode Medical College. However, their lives could not be saved. It is learnt that both deceased persons are Malayalees. The bodies have been shifted to the Kozhikode Medical College.
