'Ready to take the shower ?'; MoS Suresh Gopi steals the show on Yoga day

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: “Are you ready to take the shower?” to this question from MoS Suresh Gopi, the children screamed in unison “yes”. Rain struck midway through Union minister Suresh Gopi's address on Yoga Day celebrations held at Kovalam Arts and Crafts Village. As it was an open auditorium, the minister was provided with the service of a policeman who carefully assisted with an umbrella. The minister recognizing his special privilege while the rest were drenched in rain, curtly asked the policeman to take off the umbrella and continued his speech enjoying the monsoon drizzle. This led to big applause from the crowd and the video went viral on social media.

Suresh Gopi wrote on Facebook that Yoga is the greatest contribution of Indian heritage to the world. He wrote that it is more than just an exercise, it is a journey to holistic well-being that cultivates harmony between mind, body and spirit.

Union Minister Suresh Gopi inaugurated the community yoga program at Kovalam Arts and Craft Village on the occasion of International Yoga Day. Suresh Gopi said that yoga is a project that generates more income for wellness tourism in the country.
