Two school students drown in Valad check dam in Wayanad

WAYANAD: Two students drowned while bathing in a dam near their home in Wayanad on Monday. The accident occurred at the Valad check dam in the Wayanad district. The victims were identified as Christy (13), a ninth-grade student, and Ajin (15), a tenth-grade student.

The students drowned in a check dam near the Pulikattu wharf at 4.30 pm on Monday. The children were rescued and rushed to Mananthavady Medical College Hospital, but their lives could not be saved.
