Two youths killed, one injured in collision of bikes in Kochi

KOCHI: Two youths were killed after an over speeded bike hit an oncoming bike. The incident happened near the Kottuvally South Nadakashala on the Kottuvally-Paravur road in Kochi. The accident happened at around 10 pm last night.

The dead are as K S Renjith of Kollamparambil Varappuzha and Mutholi Joyal Joy of Puliyannoor in Kottayam. There was a power outage in the area when the accident occurred. The youths who fell on the road following the collision were taken to a private hospital in Cheranalloor, but their lives could not be saved. When nearby families arrived after hearing a loud noise, the youths were lying in a pool of blood on the road. They were immediately taken to the hospital.

Another youth was injured when his scooter hit a wall while veering off to avoid hitting the accident bike. He has been identified as Arjun Subramanian of Kizhakkepram Pazhuparambath in North Paravur.

The details of the dead were collected from the RC book of the vehicles involved in the accident.
