Victory in Lok Sabha elections; K Sudhakaran receives rousing in capital

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: KPCC president K Sudhakaran MP received enthusiastic welcome by Congress workers in Thiruvananthapuram. K Sudhakaran is coming to the capital for the first time after his resounding victory in the Lok Sabha elections.

Early in the morning, the airport and its surroundings were filled with Congress workers to welcome K Sudhakaran with musical performances and shouting slogans. Sudhakaran arrived after 11 o'clock. On arrival at the airport, he was received by the organization's general secretary TU Radhakrishnan and DCC president Palode Ravi.

Jayant, RV Rajesh, Chempazhanthy Anil, Anath Jayan, Mudavanmughal Ravi, Vinod Krishna, Abhilash Nair, Jayachandran, Sanjay, Kadakampally Haridas, Krishnakumar, MJ Anand, Premji, Lad Garbava, Xavier Lopez, Sanalkumar, Venu Vellekadav, Sunil Pattur, Naushad, KPCC DCC office bearers presided over the welcoming.

K Sudhakaran won by securing 5,18,524 votes in Kannur. K Sudhakaran defeated CPM's MV Jayarajan by 1,08,982 votes.
