KANNUR: A youth was trampled to death by a wild elephant in Aralam Farm amidst complaints of rising incidents of man-animal conflict. The attack by the elephant happened at the 10th block, where tribals were rehabilitated. The dead is Aneesh, son of Soman of the 10th block. Aneesh had gone out of his house Friday morning at 4 am. The wild elephant, which was outside, attacked him at that time.

The elephant kicked Aneesh on his chest. His family immediately took him to Peravoor Taluk Hospital and the doctors there advised to take him to Pariyaram Medical College. He died on the way to Pariyaram. His body has been shifted to the mortuary of the Pariyaram Medical College Hospital. Two people had earlier died after being trampled by an elephant in Aralam Farm.
