KANNUR: A wreath was seen in front of the house of writer V S Anil Kumar. The wreath was seen in front of his house in Kannapuram. Anil Kumar received the book written by V Kunhikrishnan, former district committee member, who was expelled from the CPM after revealing information related to the martyrs' fund scam. Anil Kumar is the son of late Prof M N Vijayan. He noticed the wreath placed near the gate when he opened the door to send his son for football coaching Thursday morning. He immediately informed the police.

Anil received the book ‘Nethruthwathe Anikal Thiruthanam' written by Kunhikrishnan last month. Apart from attending this book launch event, he used to constantly criticize the stands of the CPM leadership through social media and other means. The initial conclusion is that the protest over receiving the book may have caused the wreath to be placed. The wreath was seen in his house Marutham in Kannapuram. The police have launched an investigation into the incident.
