THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Secretariat Employees Association has come forward with an explanation after the documentary about Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan stoked a controversy. The Secretariat Employees Association's response is that the documentary depicts the government's administrative achievements and not personal worship. The decision to make the documentary was taken unanimously by the organization. The leadership clarified that the money is given from the organization's funds.
The documentary is titled 'Pinarayi the Legend'. The documentary will be screened in the capital city as part of the government's fourth anniversary celebrations. Reports said the cost of the film is 15 lakhs. The director of the documentary is a native of Nemom. The theme is the leader's biography, administrative achievements and leadership. Earlier, the association prepared a praise song to sing when Pinarayi arrived for the inauguration of the Golden Jubilee Mandir. It had sparked a controversy. The documentary is now being made after that.
