THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: N Shakthan said there will be a change in the DCC presidents of Kerala in a few days and a new DCC president will be appointed in Thiruvananthapuram. He was talking to the media after being given the temporary charge of the Thiruvananthapuram DCC president. Shakthan was given the charge after Palode Ravi resigned from the post.
'I have been given a temporary charge now. I am now the KPCC vice president which is a high post. Apart from that, it is also a responsibility. The panchayat elections and the assembly elections are approaching. Therefore, this is the time for the person holding the charge of the DCC president to work hard. As a person who has held many posts and having a long experience, will fully utilize the responsibility. I will work hard to get more seats in the capital district in both elections,' clarified N Shakthan.
Palode Ravi resigned from the post of Thiruvananthapuram DCC President after a controversial phone conversation in which he said that the Congress would fall flat and perish after the assembly elections and that the party would become a useless baggage. A phone conversation between Palode Ravi and A Jaleel, Vamanapuram block general secretary, had leaked. The party had expelled Jaleel from his primary membership.
