BJP releases list of 67-member candidates; Former DGP R Sreelekha to contest from Sasthamangalam

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The BJP on Sunday released the list of candidates for the Thiruvananthapuram Corporation elections. BJP has announced a list of 67 candidates in the first phase, including prominent leaders. Former DGP R Sreelekha will contest from Sasthamangalam, Anil Kazhakoottam in Kazhakoottam, Padmini Thomas in Palayam, Karamana Ajith from Karamana and many others are included in the list. Former Poojappura councillor and former congress leader Maheswaran Nair will contest in Punnakkamugal.

The list was released at a function organized by BJP state president Rajeev Chandrasekhar. The BJP chief received the candidates by draping a party shawl.
