WAYANAD: PV Anvar says he will contest the upcoming local body elections by forming a front with small parties and organizations. He said he will not waste time discussing UDF entry. PV Anvar added that he is happy that CPM discussed him. He was speaking to the media in Wayanad.

"I will contest the local self-government elections by forming a front with small parties and organizations. I will lead the Trinamool Congress front. I don't have time to waste discussing the issue of UDF entry. No one has had any discussions with me, and I have no answer to the media responses of UDF leaders. I am happy that the CPM discussed me."

"The Pinarayi government is taking advantage of the disaster. It is Uralungal that is building the township in connection with the Mundakkai-Chooralmala landslide rehabilitation. Uralungal is being managed by CPM leaders. The government has chased away the organizations that came to help in the rehabilitation. A big land mafia is behind this."

"There will be no other disaster where the government is the villain like the Chooralmala disaster. People gave Rs 776 crore to the government, but still no help was given to the victims. Families are taking 15 lakhs by writing that they don't want the house. The problems in Kavalappara were resolved in six months but the Wayanad issue is not like that. The opposition is not taking up the issue here. This is a situation where we need to approach the court on this issue," said PV Anvar.
