KOCHI: BJP state president K Surendran said that the people of Kerala has the right to know who handles the Chief Minister's public relations and where the funds for it come from. Surendran questioned whether it's the party or government officials managing the CM's PR, emphasizing that if public money is involved, it should be investigated.

"Who is handling the PR of the Chief Minister? Is it those appointed by the party or the government itself? If this is done using the tax money of the people, it should be subjected to investigation. Kerala has never had such a hypocritical Chief Minister. He gave such a statement only to an English newspaper with malicious intent. The Chief Minister did so to inform the nation that he is doing strong work against gold smuggling, terrorism and hawala transactions in Kerala. This is the same Chief Minister who has been supporting all these forces during the last eight years. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan's credibility is zero in Kerala. He has no right to continue in power," said Surendran said in Kochi.

"The Kerala Police are the ones who helped the Chief Minister in every crisis. It was this police that helped the Chief Minister to deport Swapna and stop the investigation by central agencies. The Chief Minister will not be able to abandon such policemen. When PV Anvar raised the allegation, the Chief Minister tried to resolve the issue by summoning him and discussing the matter. Now, he is alleging that Anvar is a smuggler. The Chief Minister should say why the Malappuram SP and other police officers were transferred based on the complaint of a smuggler," he said.

"The issue between CM and Anwar is not an ideological fight. The CPM is now witnessing a dispute over sharing the looted items. Despite questioning the Chief Minister's position in this way, the government is unable to do anything against Anvar. The Chief Minister is afraid of Anvar. There is great political polarization taking place in Kerala. Instead of supporting the opposition UDF, the people are now supporting the BJP," Surendran added.

He also said that the BJP will hold a mass march to all district centres on October 4 demanding the resignation of the Chief Minister.
