'No need for MLA K K Rema to feign shock': BJP state president K Surendran's viral Facebook post

BJP state president K Surendran heavily criticised the government's efforts to release the three accused involved in the TP Chandrasekharan murder case. The state BJP chief also took a dig at Vadakara MLA K K Rema for her indifferent attitude towards the news.

Malayalees may not see any surprise in Pinarayi Vijayan's decision to release the accused in the TP Chandrasekharan murder case. To start with, do Malayalees still believe that these people were in jail for the whole time? Do the people of the state believe that the prison laws were applied to these criminals?

These murderers were provided with the luxury of homemade foods, best-quality alcohol and even drugs. When it comes to using modes of communication, they had access not just to phones or WhatsApp, but to other superior applications including Instagram and more advanced ones.

They could smuggle gold, run a quarry, get married, give birth to children, and all this while being in jail. The media is reporting the current news with some shock as if something new has happened.

The big shock from the UDF camp on the issue is all gimmicks. If for real, T P Chandrasekharan’s widow MLA K K Rema would not have any shocking reaction to the news. When Chandrasekharan murder was moving towards Pinrayi Vijayan, it was the legion of UDF leaders including P. K. Kunhalikutty, Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan and Oommen Chandy who came with assistance to the current CM of Kerala. It was no surprise that even Pinarayi’s lifelong agent V D Satheesan also extended his implicit support. MLA K K Rema is now an MLA with this UDF squad and it is pointless for her to evoke shock in the news.

For the INDIA alliance which they are part of, everything that goes awry is to be blamed on ‘fascist’ Modi and the ‘Nazi’ Sangh Parivar. And now Pinarayi is a sacred figure for them after following the ‘enemy’s enemy is my friend’ approach.
