Human ancestors ate their children!!! Bones from 850,000 years ago with evidence

Fossils have provided us with many surprising pieces of information about our ancestors over the years. Now, they have been found to contain shocking information. A fossil of a baby that died about 850,000 years ago has given direct evidence that the infant was decapitated and cannibalised.

The bones, which are part of the skull of a child between the ages of two and five, were found in the Gran Dolina cave in Atapuerca, an archaeological site in northern Spain. According to Dr Palmira Saladié, co-director of the excavation project, the child was used as a food source, just like any other animal.

About ten skeletons have been found here this month alone. Since they have marks similar to those of eaten animals, it is understood that they were eaten by Homo antecessors of the same species. The tooth marks of this early human were found on this skeleton. The fossil found in Europe, which is similar to modern humans, belongs to Homo antecessors.

30 percent of the bones found in this cave in Spain prove that Homo antecessors were cannibals. It is understood that they ate their own kind for food and to protect their borders. There were previously indications of this on the bones of ancient humans found in Kenya, but this has not been proven yet.
