Some people's language proficiency truly surprises us. A video of a Korean woman being genuinely shocked after hearing an Indian speak Korean fluently is currently going viral on social media. The young woman had travelled to India and is a vlogger. The incident took place while she was filming a video.
She begins the video by mentioning that many people are staring at her. She then speaks to a nearby Indian man in Korean, asking, "Why are you looking at me? Do you like me?" She was confident that he wouldn't understand her language.
To her astonishment, the Indian man replied in fluent Korean with a smile, saying, "I work here." Realising her mistake, the woman was visibly shocked and asked, "How can you speak Korean so fast?"
The man then explained, "I worked at a restaurant in Korea, so I learned the language."
In the end, the woman apologized before leaving. She herself shared the video on Instagram, and it quickly went viral on social media.
