KOCHI: The Film Chamber has decided to restrict the OTT release of films. Also, recording audience responses to movies outside of theatre halls will not be allowed. The decisions were taken at a meeting held by the Film Chamber Association in Kochi. As per the decision OTT release will be allowed only after 42 days of theatre release. This will come into effect from April 1.

Exemptions will be given only for films for which an agreement has been signed in advance. The Film Chamber is of the view that taking reviews from the audience leaving the theater and spreading them on social media will have a negative impact on the overall collection of the film.
