NEW DELHI: Twitter offices in India have been shut down. Delhi and Mumbai offices has been shut down and employees here are advised to work from home. But the office in Bengaluru has been maintained. It is believed that the financial crisis has forced Twitter to close the offices. But the authorities of Twitter in India have not yet commented on the action.
Earlier it was reported that Twitter is going through severe crisis and hence necessary precautions are being taken. As the crisis worsened, the company laid off a large number of employees. A lot of employees were fired from India last year alone. The authorities hope that the company can be financially secured by the end of this year through such drastic measures. The reforms were intensified after Elon Musk took over Twitter. The reforms were accelerated as part of coping with heavy losses.
Musk himself had warned that Twitter would soon go bankrupt. This warning was given in a meeting with employees after taking over Twitter. After the takeover, the crisis worsened when senior employees who were the pillars of the company resigned.
