The police have started investigation for Asif, a native of Pathanapuram, who rented the house six months ago.

After renting the upper floor of Thuvan Rauthar's house, the accused used a printing machine to make the fake notes. Asif rented the house saying that he was doing book printing business. But he stayed in the house at Elamkulam only for one and a half months. The fake notes were found during the inspection conducted by the owner the other day after Asif didn’t turn up for months.

The police have seized more than 100 prints of Rs 2000, 500 and 100 currency notes from the rooms where he was staying. Adoor police informed that a case has been registered in the incident but Asif has been absconding for months.
