Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala murder case; 2 more convicts killed, deaths in prison riots

AMRITSAR: Two accused in the murder case of Punjabi singer and Congress leader Siddu Moosewala have been killed. Duran Mandeep Singh Toofan and Manmohan Singh were killed. The deceased were injured in a clash at Goindwal Sahib Jail in Tentaran district. The police informed that the death occurred in an attack carried out by members of two gangs. One person who was seriously injured in the clash is undergoing treatment.

On May 29, 2022, Siddu Moosewala was shot dead in Mansa district of Punjab. Sidhu's murder was in retaliation for the murder of Akali Dal leader Vicky Middukhera. Canada-based gangster Goldy Brar claimed responsibility via Facebook.

Meanwhile, two suspects who were suspected to be involved in the murder were killed in an encounter with the police in Amritsar in July last year. Jagroop Singh Rupa and Manpreet Singh were shot dead in an encounter with the anti-Gunda squad of the Punjab Police at Bhakna village, 20 km from Amritsar. The accused, who were hiding, fired at the police. When the police fired back, both of them were shot dead. The police arrested eight people who were with them and seized AK-47 guns.
