Car travels 18km with dead body on roof; shocking incident in Andhra Pradesh

AMARAVATHI: In one tragic accident that happened in Andhra Pradesh, a car driver travelled for almost 18 km not knowing about the dead body lying on top of his vehicle. The incident took place in Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh.

It was during the last day at 8 pm that locals spotted an Innova car travelling with a dead body on the roof of the vehicle. Police were alerted and then the car was taken into custody. Jinni Era Swamy (35), a tractor mechanic of Cholasamudram village, is the deceased. When the police arrived, the car driver, came out of the vehicle and ran away. He is still at large. A case of murder has been registered in the incident and further investigation is underway.

According to police, Swami while returning from work was hit by a speeding car. The impact of the collision left Swami in the air for a few seconds and then landed him on the top of the car. According to police, the driver might have been drunk enough to notice the accident or the dead body on top of the vehicle.
