21-year-old body builder dies as bread he had during workout break stuck in throat

CHENNAI: A 21-year-old body builder died after the bread he had during workout session got stuck in his throat. He has been identified as M Hariharan (21) of Periya Kollapatti in Salem. The incident happened Sunday night at 8 pm.

Hariharan was training for partaking in the state level body building championship at Vadalur in Cuddalore. He was contesting for under 70 kilo category. Contestants from different parts of the state were there to participate in the championship. Their accommodation was arranged at a wedding auditorium.

He had taken a break to have food during workout session. A piece of bread got stuck in his throat. He was not able to breathe and though he was rushed to the hospital, his life could not be saved.
