NIA looking for retired 'Sherlock Holmes'

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is seeking retired officers with experience in criminal investigation and intelligence from state police and central forces. Retired experts will be hired as consultants for tasks such as the investigation and preparation of court documents in cases related to national security. There will be consultants in all units, including Kochi. Applications have been invited. Appointments will be made after conducting an interview. At present, consultants are appointed on deputation from police and central forces.

The NIA is seeking those who have retired as Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, Deputy Superintendent and Inspector from the police and those who retired in similar ranks from CBI, Narcotic Control Bureau, Intelligence Bureau, Cabinet Secretariat, Customs, Income Tax Department, Directorate of Revenue Intelligence, National Technical Research Organization. The aim is to intensify investigations into terrorism, black money, human trafficking and terrorist recruiting cases.
