Did Mohanlal fool Prem Nazir? Son Shanawas reveals truth

The statements of actor Sreenivasan about Mohanlal had stoked a big controversy. Sreenivasan revealed that Nazir wanted to direct a film with Mohanlal in the lead role and that he had entrusted him to write the script. However, Sreenivasan alleged that Mohanlal belittled Nazir’s wish and mocked that he has no other work at his old age.

However, Prem Nazir's son Shanawaz responded to Kerala Kaumudi Online in connection with it. Shanawaz also clarified that Nazir wanted to do a film with Mohanlal, but said that he doesn’t know whether there were any problems. The script was entrusted to Sreenivasan itself. Mohanlal used to come home to hold discussions along with Priyadarsan. The script was completed. Shanawaz said Nazir wanted to do a film with Mammootty and his death happened in the meantime.

When asked Shanawas whether he believes the allegations, he said that he does not know what is true, but Shanawas' response was that since it was Sreeni who said it, it was impossible not to believe it.

Sreenivasan responded that Prem Nazir expressed his wish to make a film on the location site of the film Kadathanadan Ambadi directed by Priyadarsan. Sreenivasan said that when Mohanlal came to know about it, he spoke as if he was not interested. Sreenivasan said he thought about the story of the film and Prem Nazir had given Mohanlal an advance check on the day of his engagement. Prem Nazir’s death happened during the shooting of Varavelpu. Sreenivasan said the story that he thought for Prem Nazir then was the film 'Sandesham' directed by Sathyan Anthikad.

Sreenivasan also revealed that he is not on good terms with Mohanlal. Recalling the incident where Mohanlal kissed him during a television show recently, Sreenivasan jibed that Mohanlal is a complete actor. When asked whether the character of Saroj Kumar wasn’t a spoof of Mohanlal and did that affect his relationship with him, Sreeni replied that our relationship was not that good. Sreenivasan revealed that he had exposed Lal's hypocrisy many times and will write everything openly before he dies.
