Ambanis served dessert with Rs 500 notes at NMACC gala; pictures go viral

The inauguration of Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) in Mumbai was a star-studded affair. Celebrities from all over the world attended the event now popularly called as ‘India’s Met Gala’. The ceremony was held at March 31 and April 1 at Jio World Centre. The pictures and videos of the event are going viral on social media. But now the food served by the Ambani family at the function have grabbed the attention of netizens.

The food was served in silver thalis. Several small bowls were placed in the thalis, in which Indian dishes like roti, dal, palak paneer, curry, halwa, dessert, pappad and laddoo were served along with a glass of wine.

Now one such dish on the menu has become a topic of discussion on social media. Daulat ki Chaat, a popular North Indian dish was served with Rs 500 notes. The pictures of the sweet dish item surrounded with Rs 500 notes quickly went viral. But these notes were fake.

The grand inaugural ceremony of NMACC was a two-day long event. Described as Nita Ambani’s dream project, NMACC aims to preserve and encourage Indian artforms and culture. Hollywood stars Tom Holland, Zendaya, Gigi Hadid graced the event with their presence. Bollywood was in full attendance at the inauguration including Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt, Siddharth Malhotra, Gauri Khan, Kiara Advani, Karan Johar, Kareena Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai, Kajol, Ranveer Singh and the list goes on.
