THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Transport Commissioner S Sreejith said that riding a two-wheeler with more than two people will be considered a violation of the law. He also said that the new AI camera will detect five types of violations. It is illegal to have more than two passengers, even if it is a child. S Sreejith also said that if possible, people should avoid riding two-wheelers with children on them.

"In the first phase, fines will be slapped for triple riding on a two-wheeler, driving without helmet, using a mobile phone while driving, red light jumping and not wearing a seat belt. In the first phase, it will be checked whether the passengers in the front seats of the vehicle are wearing seat belts. There will be no fine for using the Bluetooth system. However, using the phone in other ways may result in a fine," S Sreejith informed.

Emergency category vehicles will be fined. 726 AI cameras have been installed including on national and state rural roads.
