19-year-old stabbed to death, four injured after groups clash over girl in Delhi

NEW DELHI: A youth has been killed and four others were injured after a quarrel broke out between groups over a girl in Delhi’s Zakir Nagar area. The dead has been identified as Mohammad Sheyan (19). The other victims Adib (18), Mohammed Sehal Zafar (19), Mohamad Afzal (20), and a 17-year-old are being treated at the hospital.

The incident happened on the 28th of last month. The girl was in a relationship with a guy named Bilal. Later, she broke up with him and got into a relationship with Adib. Bilal believed that she had left him to be with Adib. He then threatened to kill Adib if he continues his relationship with the girl.

Later they met on the 28th around nighttime to resolve this issue. Bilal came with his friends Shebi, Tabish, Hamza and Sabir. Later eight of his other friends also reached the spot. While talking, they got into an argument. Then, Tabish took his knife out and attacked. The accused fled the spot after this.

A case has been registered at the Jamia Nagar police station under Sections 302, 307, 147, 148, and 149 of the IPC and investigation has started. The police said that the search for the accused is ongoing.
