Nine killed, seven injured in shooting at shopping mall in Texas

WASHINGTON: Nine people were killed and seven were injured in shooting at a shopping mall in Texas. It is reported that three of the injured are in critical condition. The shooting happened at Allen Premium Outlets in Texas on Saturday at around 3.30 pm.

The police have killed the shooter. The reason for the attack is not yet clear. The witnesses revealed that the shooter started firing without any provocation. The police have not released other details about the shooter.

The shooting incident in Texas occurred as calls for stricter laws in gun lights intensify in the US. In 2023 alone, 198 gun violence incidents were reported in the US. Even civilians have the right to carry arms in the US. There are many attempts made to ban this law.

Last month, there was a report of a shooting at the Oklahoma University in Norman, US. The university authorities informed this through Twitter. In January, nine people, including two students, were killed in shootings in Northern California and Loa. In the same month, 10 people were killed in a shooting at a dance club in Monterey Park.
