Elon Musk to step down from CEO post, hires woman to lead twitter

SANFRANCISCO: Owner and billionaire Elon Musk is stepping down from the CEO post of Twitter. Comcast NBCUniversal executive Linda Yaccarino is the new CEO. She will take charge in six weeks.

Musk purchased the company in October for 44 million US dollar. He then served as the CEO of it. He will now serve as twitter’s chief technology officer. Yaccarino had interviewed Musk at an advertising conference in Miami in April. However, Yaccarino has so far not responded to the news.

Who is Linda Yaccarino?
She is top advertising sales executive at NBCUniversal for over a decade.

Linda had worked in Turner Entertainment for 19 years, has received many honors.

She studied liberal arts and telecommunications at Penn State University.
