Revenue department inaugurates new portal; end to queues in front of village offices

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Minister K Rajan inaugurated the online portal which will help people register complaints to the revenue department. Kerala land conservancy ACT, Lake conservation, illegal quarrying, government land encroachment, and cutting of trees on government property can be reported and even options are available to upload photos through (http://alert.revenue.kerala.gov.in) website. Village officers and Tahsildars will respond to the complaints from the public. The minister also inaugurated the Relis portal made EBTR project which helps people to pay dues without the need to travel to village offices.

According to the government's 100-day welfare program, 40000 deeds were planned for distribution among people, but the numbers went to 67069, said Minister K Rajan.
