Another attempt to set fire to train; Maharashtra native arrested, incident took place in Kozhikode

KOZHIKODE: The Railway Protection Force (RPF) has arrested a youth for attempting to set fire to a train at the Kozhikode railway station on Monday. The arrested person is a 20-year-old man from Maharashtra. It is reported that the youth tore up a no-smoking sticker inside the compartment and set it on fire.

The incident took place inside the Kannur-Ernakulam intercity which reached Kozhikode station at 2.20 pm today. It is suspected that the young man is mentally challenged. The youth was apprehended by the passengers and handed over to the RPF.
