THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala Sahitya Academy published new books came into the market with a specialty. All books had stickers eulogizing the second year of the Pinarayi government, which was enough to court controversy. Kerala Sahitya Academy president K. Satchidanandan labeled the incident as abysmal. Almost 30 books published by the Sahitya Academy had the government's sticker placed on them.
Meanwhile, Kerala Sahitya Academy secretary C P Aboobacker went against the president’s stance and ignored the controversy through a Facebook post. Prominent authors including Saradakutty expressed disapproval of the move. Aboobacker took the blame and said it was his suggestion to put stickers of government on all books.
“ Government may fall, but book stays forever” quoted K. Satchidanandan on Facebook.
