Honey trap: Serial actress and friend arrested for extorting lakhs 

PATHANAMTHITTA: A serial actress and her friend have been arrested in a honey trap case and extorting lakhs from an elderly man. Nithya Sasi (32) from Malayalapuzha and Binu (48) from Paravur were arrested. Eleven lakh rupees were extorted from a 75-year-old ex-serviceman.

According to the police, Nithya met the old man concerning renting a house. The two then grew close. The elderly man was invited by Nithya to her rented home. The cops said that the accused forcefully undressed the man and took photos with the actress.

The accused threatened to release the footage if he did not pay Rs 25 lakhs. Eleven lakhs were paid by the complainant. The man informed the police after threats persisted. As per police instruction, the old man called the accused to his flat to give the rest of the money.The police arrested the duo from there.
