THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPM Central Committee member A K Balan has strongly criticized the statements made by NSS General Secretary G Sukumaran Nair. Balan responded that the NSS General Secretary should have clearly understood the context of the Speaker's remarks before making such a response.
He demanded that Sukumaran Nair's perspective is misguided and that he should apologize to Shamseer. Without comprehending the full concept of the speech, other parties are attempting to introduce casteism into the state's discourse. Such actions by communal organizations cannot be accepted. Balan also expressed his opinion that the NSS General Secretary's stance indicates bias towards the BJP and the Sangh Parivar.
The speaker has never made derogatory comments about any religious belief. Balan responded that it is NSS General Secretary G Sukumaran Nair who should apologize, not the Speaker. He said that the NSS General Secretary is taking a position to dissuade believers from voting for communist candidates in the upcoming elections. G Sukumaran Nair had criticized A K Balan, who had spoken in support of Shamseer's speech. Balan's criticism was in response to this.
