KOCHI: KSU state president Aloysius Xavier on Tuesday said that KSU had no role in the incident where a visually impaired lecturer was insulted at the Maharaja's College. Aloysius said that the allegation and action against KSU unit vice president Muhammad Fazil are wrong. He also said that the conspiracy of the left-wing teachers' and students' organizations are behind the allegations against Fasil.

Aloysius said that KSU would lodge a complaint with District Police Chief in the incident and approach the court seeking an independent investigation. However, Aloysius added that there is no doubt that the teacher was insulted and that KSU will stand by the teacher. Earlier, the college authorities had suspended 6 students, including KSU unit vice president Muhammad Fazil, in connection with the incident.

BA Political Science teacher Priyesh was insulted by the students inside the classroom. The video showed students looking at their phones and pulling their chairs while the teacher was in class. The video also showed the students mocking the teacher behind his back. The college authorities took action after the video went viral.
