NEW DELHI: Indians have taken up Prime Minister Narendra Modi's call to upload selfies with the national flag on the Har Ghar Tiranga website. 8.8 crore people have uploaded a selfie with the national flag on the website. The photos were uploaded by this many number of people between August 13th and 12 noon of 15th. On Friday, Narendra Modi called for uploading selfies with the national flag.
The Har Ghar Tiranga campaign was launched by the Central Government last July 22 during the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, which celebrated India's 75th Independence Day. The campaign was started with the aim of inculcating patriotism among the citizens. On Sunday, the Prime Minister had also requested that the profile picture on social media should be changed to the national flag.
