Muttil tree felling case: V V Benny wants to be excused from investigation

KOZHIKODE: DySP VV Benny has demanded that he be excused from the investigation into the tree-felling incident in Muttil. Benny has written a letter to the DGP in this regard. In his letter, Benny stated that some people were trying to defame him in the name of the investigation of the case.

Benny also stated that attempts are also being made to insult him, other members of the police force, and the government in the name of the custodial death in Tanur. It was Benny who arrested the Augustine brothers in the case related to Muttil tree felling.
