THIRUVANTHAPURAM: One may be required to appear in court to pay the fine for a traffic violation in case of late payment of the fine through e-challan. Now, Kerala Police has informed that people can pay the fine through the V court website without going to court.

For this, one must visit the website https://vcourts.gov.in/virtualcourt/. Choose Kerala (Police Department) if the fine was imposed by the police. If the MVD has slapped the fine, choose Kerala (Transport Department). The person can check the details after verifying using any of the below:

  • mobile number
  • vehicle number
  • challan number
  • name of the person paying the fine

After this, he can pay the fine by clicking on “I wish to pay the proposed fine”. The police have also shared a video explaining the method of paying the fine.
