THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: For the next five days, Kerala will witness strong rainfall, predicted IMD authorities. Minding this, a yellow alert has been announced in various districts from today till September 5.

  • 03.09.2023: Thiruvananthapuram

  • 05.09.2023: Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Alappuzha

According to the Indian Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Idukki and Ernakulam districts in the next three hours.

Authorities fear a new cyclone vortex to be formed near the northwest Bay of Bengal by Sunday. So, chances remain high about a low pressure intensifying in the next 48 hours which will ensure strong rains with wind in Kerala.
