Tovino Thomas and Rashmika Mandhana to become Best Asian Actor and Actress; Nominated for prestigious International Film Awards

Tovino Thomas and Rashmika Mandanna are Indian stars who have received nominations at the Septimius Awards, an esteemed international film award. Tovino Thomas holds the distinction of being the first South Indian actor eligible for this prestigious award which every actor aspires to attain.

Tovino Thomas secured his nomination for his outstanding performance in the film '2018: Everyone is a Hero,' directed by Jude Anthony Joseph. Notably, '2018' has also earned a nomination in the category of Best Asian Film. This film is particularly noteworthy as it became the first Malayalam movie to cross the 200-crore mark at the box office. The movie is centred around the devastating 2018 floods that severely affected Kerala and boasted an impressive ensemble cast, including Kunchacko Boban, Asif Ali, Lal, Naren, Aparna Balamurali, Vineeth Srinivasan and Aju Varghese.

The Septimius Awards is an international film accolade ceremony held annually in Amsterdam, the capital of the Netherlands. These awards cover a wide range of categories including Best Actor, Best Actress and Best Film from each continent spanning Europe, America, Asia and Africa. Representing India in these awards are Tovino Thomas, Rashmika Mandanna and Namitha Lal. The winners for this year's awards will be announced on September 26th.
