Central Government to cut petrol-diesel prices ahead of Diwali

NEW DELHI: According to reports the Central Government is planning to reduce the price of petroleum fuels in the country. It is reported that the central government will announce the relaxation on the occasion of Diwali. Petrol and diesel prices may be reduced by three to five rupees. The news about the fuel price revision came out based on a report in JM Financial Institutional Securities. The news of a reduction in petrol and diesel prices comes after the cost of domestic and commercial cooking gas cylinders has been revised.

In the cabinet meeting held on the 29th of last month, it was decided to reduce the price of cooking gas cylinders for domestic use by Rs.200. Later, the price reduction of commercial LPG cylinders was announced. 158 per 10 kg cylinder has been reduced.

It is reported that the Center has decided to reduce the price of cooking gas and fossil fuels on Raksha Bandhan ahead of parliamentary elections and assembly elections and in various states. It is reported that the government is announcing price cuts on special days because it is a decision that affects the common man and the middle class alike across the country.
