BENGALURU: Jithin, a relative of Arjun, who went missing in the landslide at Shirur in Karnataka, said that he is satisfied with the search operations going on in the last three days. Don’t think that volunteers are needed for the rescue operations. While talking to the media, he said that forces including the navy can search more in the river. More officers are coming and there is a hope today, added Jithin.

It is hinted that Jithin was given permission to reach the place where the rescue operations are going on. The authorities informed that today's search will be on the mound at the river bank. A boom soil scraper to remove mud from a depth of 60 feet was brought to Shirur. In the search by the army last evening on the area where the sonar signal was received will be examined using a boom. Top government officials said they expect to get a clarity on the incident today.

The search will focus on the signal of the metal object on the bottom of the Gangavali river. Removing mud along the banks of the river has started. The bottom of the river is searched using modern equipment that combines radio frequency and AI. Army scuba divers will arrive for this. The Center has given security clearance for this. Retd Major General M Indrabalan and his team will be part of the mission.
