THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Minister Veena George took to Facebook to react to the allegation that her personal staff member took bribe for appointment of a medical officer. The minister said that after receiving the complaint, she sought an explanation from the personal staff member Akhil Mathew and his reply was that he was dragged into this on purpose. Veena George added that Akhil Mathew is not her relative but only a personal staff member.
"Haridasan's complaint came as a registered post on September 13. In this, a complaint has been raised that my personal staff member took the money. Then, based on my suggestion, my PS filed a complaint with the police. Akhil Mathew has also filed a police complaint. The police will investigate and bring out the facts on the basis of scientific evidence. The wrongdoers should be punished.", the minister said in her Facebook post.
